Thus, former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice believes that Donald Trump needs to withdraw his candidacy and abandon his intentions to become US President.
She wrote about this on her Facebook page.
"Enough! Donald Trump should not be president. He must withdraw his candidacy. As a Republican, I hope to support someone who has the dignity and prestige to seek the highest office in the largest democracy on Earth,” she wrote.
John McCain, the influential hawk senator and Republican candidate in the 2008 presidential election, also withdrew his support for Trump's candidacy.
The famous American actor, Republican politician and former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger also announced his reluctance to vote for Trump on his Facebook page.
“For the first time since I became a citizen in 1983, I will not vote for the Republican candidate,” Schwarzenegger wrote.
“As much as I was proud to be a Republican, I put another title higher than that: an American,” the former California governor added.
According to the actor, he wants to remind his fellow Republicans that choosing between party and country in favor of the latter is not only acceptable, but “is an obligation.”
Note that the presidential elections will take place in the United States on November 8.
