Preparations for the primaries in the DPR have reached the home stretch – voting will take place on October 2
Important decisions were made in Donetsk as part of the ongoing preparations for the republican primaries for local authorities of the DPR.

In particular, the temporary republican election commission set the date for the preliminary voting for the election of candidates for deputies of local councils and for the positions of local heads on October 2, 2016. Donetsk was determined as the location for the primaries.
This was reported by the press attaché of the Temporary Election Commission for the preliminary voting, Oleg Balykin.
In addition, the deadlines for nominating candidates to participate in the preliminary vote and for candidates to submit self-nomination notices to the territorial election commission were determined - from 10 a.m. on September 9, 2016 to 18 p.m. on September 13, 2016, inclusive.
Other decisions of the temporary election commission are devoted to technical aspects of the primaries. In particular, the procedure for registering foreign observers for primaries in the DPR has been approved, polling stations have been set up for voters with disabilities and a number of other issues. The right to be elected and vote in the primaries is granted to all residents of the DPR over the age of 18 who have permanently resided in the territory of the republic for the last 5 years. At the same time, the voter’s belonging to the territorial community of the corresponding administrative-territorial unit is determined by the registered place of residence.
