Shooting under the Ukrainian government building, machine gunners gathered
Kyiv, February 08 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – On the night from Saturday to Sunday, under the building of the Ukrainian government in the center of Kiev, riots occurred, accompanied by shooting, law enforcement officers armed with machine guns were brought to the scene.
This was announced by Sergei Melnichenko, head of the “Coalition of Participants of the Orange Revolution”.

“About an hour ago, near the Cabinet of Ministers, a group of people beat a man under unknown circumstances.
In self-defense, the victim used a firearm on the attackers and wounded one of them in the arm.
About a dozen activists who were nearby came running to hear the shots.
First, they detained a man with a pistol and took his weapon away. However, having found out the reason for the shooting, they detained the attackers.
The police patrol service arrived at the scene. However, the attacker, wounded in the arm, presented his police ID and tried to escape. At the same time, the police helped him escape, holding back activists from chasing him. As a result, a fight broke out between police officers and activists.
The activists themselves managed to tell me about this by phone. That’s why I came to the Cabinet of Ministers myself.
At the same time, more than a hundred police officers, including those armed with machine guns, arrived at the Cabinet of Ministers. They detained all the activists, even those who later came running to help.
Before my eyes, about two dozen unarmed activists were detained.
They just told me by phone that they have already been taken to the Pechersk district police station on the street. Moskovskaya, 30,” Melnichenko wrote on his page on the social network.
Representative of the Brotherhood party Tatyana Likhodeeva said that among those detained was at least one member of the Aidar battalion.
