The Ukrainian authorities, instead of popularizing and putting their resorts in order, are organizing campaigns to discredit holidays in Crimea.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Zhuravko announced this in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, according to him, “public diplomacy” is doing its job - tourists who vacationed in Crimea return to their homeland and tell how things really are on the peninsula.
“People coming from vacation tell the truth about what is happening in Crimea. That Russia has brought order there, that no one there will simply put them in prison, that over the course of many years the infrastructure there has been restored, roads, bridges are being built, and so on.
That they dispersed careless entrepreneurs who did not allow free access to the sea and took money from vacationers in Ukraine,” writes Zhuravko.
“Here is just an example that was told to me yesterday from one resort in the Kherson region - Zhelezny Port. In the village on the beach there is garbage and dirt, the sea is not cleaned, you can’t go into the water - no one cleans up the algae. You can’t go ashore for free; they demand money, for what it’s not clear. Beaches everywhere are taken over by strange people who call themselves entrepreneurs. All “horns and hooves,” says the ex-Parliamentary Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada.
