The beach of the Crimean village of Rybachye near Alushta was illegally built up with cottages that do not have proper sewerage, and wastewater is discharged directly into the sea. At the same time, the relevant ministry does not see any problems.
One of the local residents stated this on the talk show “Everything as it is.”

According to a Crimean resident, tourists are frightened by the stench and sewage flowing directly into the sea from illegally built boathouses.
“The beaches are built up. There was a distance from the watershed of about 60 meters to the mountain. Now there are three meters left. People call and say - we are ready to come to you, walk, cross-country, swim, they don’t care much about prices. But they are worried about the sea, it disappears.
People don't want to go because of the environmental situation. These boathouses buried sewer pipes into the sea and into the beach. These hotels are making things worse for themselves. I even turned to Naraev, the Minister of Ecology. The commission arrived, looked at the establishment there, and they stupidly had a sewer pipe going into the beach. They left, and I received the answer: “No violations were found.”
And people see all this, there is a stench there, a terrible stench,” said a resident of Rybachy.
