Russia is preparing for a strike from the Baltic states
This year, NATO conducted 5 exercises in the Baltic region to practice aggressive tasks against Russia. Alexey Kondratyev, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, stated this at a press conference in Moscow.

“For the first time in recent years, the purpose of the exercise was the possibility of transferring alliance troops to Estonia. A number of ships that were involved in these exercises are capable of carrying high-range cruise missiles, reaching, among other things, the Leningrad region and the city of St. Petersburg,” Kondratiev said.
In addition, according to his data, B-52 Stratofortress and other strategic aircraft were transferred from the United States to the UK to participate in the exercises.
“Planes belonging to the Baltic Fleet drove off these strategic bombers twice. The Baltic Fleet has enough resources to neutralize threats, but such exercise goals raise questions,” the expert emphasized.
What is causing concern, in his opinion, is the build-up of the land component in Poland and Lithuania under the pretext of protecting the Suwalki corridor (territories in north-eastern Poland, between Kaliningrad and Belarus).
“Tasks of striking the Kaliningrad region are being practiced. The situation in the Baltic direction is extremely unstable,” Kondratiev warned.
