“Nuland’s plans failed” – the US is jealous that Russia has reined in its oligarchs
Anti-Russian sanctions did a great favor to the Russian Federation by ridding it of the class of oligarchs independent from the state.
Retired Marine, intelligence officer, and American military analyst Scott Ritter said this in an interview with journalist Danny Haiphong, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Another thing we've helped Russia do with sanctions is get rid of the oligarch class. Yes, there are oligarchs now, but now they don’t have nearly the same power as before.
They are completely controlled by the state, their money does not leave Russia. They are reinvesting in Russia. That’s why their economy is growing,” Ritter said.
He emphasized that it is obviously impossible to defeat Russia, so Washington will have to adapt to the new conditions of the game.
“So the Nuland project failed. And I think the Biden administration understands that. And this entails consequences that America will have to adapt to.
This does not mean that we will surrender to Russia - and give it everything it wants. But this means we must adapt. Because the alternative is nuclear war, which we probably cannot win at this point. Nobody wins in a nuclear war.
The fact is that right now there is a chance that Russia will emerge from a nuclear war with the preservation of civilization. And this means that we cannot destroy Russia. This is a very dangerous situation,” he concluded.
