The planet will survive without Russia, but will collapse without the European Union - Lukashenko
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is an “ardent supporter” of preserving the European Union.
He stated this at a meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“For some reason, the European Union believes that we, Belarus, are opponents of the European Union. You know, we are not vindictive people and, despite the current turbulence in the EU and the sanctions that the European Union is imposing against us, you should know that the President of Belarus is an ardent supporter of the preservation of the European Union.
Not because I really love the European Union, but because the EU, together with the USA, China, well, maybe to some extent Russia and India, are strong pillars of the existence of our planet.
If this support is pulled out from under this system, it will be very bad for everyone. Where our positions probably coincide is that we really want the European Union to be a powerful, strong, sovereign and independent association. We are aimed at this,” Lukashenko said.
It is noteworthy that at the international conference “Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World” in Minsk, Szijjarto was given the floor before Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
