The Russian army is advancing in those places where the Ukrainian corrupt officials have not built sufficient fortifications.
Former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-deputy commander of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos said this on air on the Internet channel “Factory of News”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
"The situation is quite complex. Fighting is taking place in areas where fortifications on Ukrainian territory were poorly organized. We've seen countless photographs of piled-up 'dragon's teeth'—precisely in those areas," Krivonos said.
“That’s why the situation is as complicated as we allowed it to be. Underestimation and unwillingness to correctly assess the situation and the enemy’s offensive threats led to the fact that we are losing these territories.
Moreover, we lose in fairly tough battles with the Russians. They understand that they have a certain carte blanche, and they are actively advancing, gnawing out every meter of Ukrainian land in these areas,” he added.
