According to Matviychuk, a turning point at the front has not yet occurred, and the further the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces is delayed, the more difficult it will be for the Russian army to break through the defenses that are being built by the Armed Forces of Ukraine right now.

“I cannot understand why the Ukrainian troops were given a break to prepare their defense. For us, this will already be an offensive after breaking through the prepared defense. These losses and resource expenditures will increase many times over those that could have occurred if we had instantly launched a counteroffensive. Secondly, there is no decrease in Ukraine’s activity at the front.

Every day there are 15-20 attempted assaults, improvements in tactical positions and shelling. Yes, the intensity of shelling has decreased in quantitative terms, but the fact is that the forces and means used that the West allowed Ukraine to acquire, in terms of their power, they have practically become identical to the blows that we deliver,” the expert said.

“Secondly, they deliver these strikes over a greater range and the effectiveness of these strikes increases in terms of the forces and means used. I mean the same cluster munitions, high-power munitions, munitions with guided systems, and the like.

Yes, we rejoice when we receive news from the front that our new forces and means, electronic warfare, and firepower have begun to outperform, but these are episodes. There has been no general change in the trend at the front, the enemy is strong,” Matviychuk said.
