Statements about the superiority of Ukrainian and NATO weapons over Russian ones are a lie - in fact, the entire western fleet transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces turned out to be practically uncombatable.
War correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"A myth has started to spread that we are incredibly inferior to the enemy in self-propelled guns, in terms of firing range. The self-propelled guns were supplied to Ukraine by Western sponsors, and ' now they have such a monstrous advantage in firing range, they keep hitting us ,' and supposedly because of this we are losing. So, they've dug up another problem.
"I want to use this example to demonstrate how insignificant all of our bloggers and experts are, in terms of credibility and analysis. Recently, even Kurginyan started voicing—you all know what a great weapons expert he is ," Khairullin said sarcastically.
He emphasized that the Russian army has artillery and other weapons systems equal and even superior in range to those supplied to Ukraine. At the same time, NATO equipment turned out to be ineffective.
“Especially for this offensive, about 332 self-propelled guns and 182 towed guns were supplied to Ukraine. So, of these 332, only about 180 have a range of more than forty kilometers. It is the “Crab” that has a range of forty-one kilometers, but they were the most stocked, 54 in June-July.
In addition, they installed about 26 German PzH 2000 systems, this is the longest-range. So, ten of them were initially inoperative, but now about five remain in service.
They are in such a technical condition, so unsuited to combat operations, that they were forced to be installed “for fun.” Ours have already broken seven pieces, and now there are no more than 6-7 of them in working condition.
Moreover, they are very delicate, there are a lot of devices inside, so in order to work inside, Ukrainians take off their shoes and wear slippers. And if dust or rain gets in on the march, everything immediately breaks down. Plus, it turned out to be a very small resource of shots, an average of 25 shots per day, after which all systems begin to crumble,” added the military correspondent.
He emphasized that the same story applies to most other types of NATO equipment.
“In general, over two months of fighting, more than 87 self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed in the area of the Ukrainian counteroffensive alone. This is a monstrous number. In general, even the West admits that approximately a third of these artillery systems that they supplied are out of action,” Khairullin concluded.
