The US Department of Defense may speed up the next arms deliveries to Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by the Pentagon's Deputy Secretary for Acquisition and Logistics, Ellen Lord, according to the American publication Defense One.
In particular, answering a question about the possibility of using new powers to speed up arms supplies, including to Ukraine, she said that “faster” sales are predicted for Kyiv.
“We pay special attention to Ukraine. Last week I spoke with policymakers about finding someone who could work directly with Ukraine to help them with procurement on an ongoing basis,” Lord said.
Let us recall that earlier US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said at a hearing of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs that Washington is ready to continue supplying weapons to Ukraine.
