Pavel Gubarev published a book about unknown details of the Russian Spring in Donbass
"People's Governor of the Donetsk Region" and one of the leaders of the Russian Spring in Donetsk, Pavel Gubarev, released his first book, "The Torch of Novorossiya," which was published by Piter Publishing House.

In his interview with journalist Alexander Chalenko , Gubarev said that in the book he revealed for the first time some previously unknown facts about the Russian uprising in Donbass in the spring of 2014. For example, how Strelkov's unit reached Slavyansk.
“There are all the details of the very first period of the struggle in Donetsk. Nowhere, for example, are there any details of how Strelkov came here, to Donbass. My group did this. I was in prison at that time. Therefore, they retold all the events. They co-authored my book. These are my colleagues in the history department. My comrades in arms who took the path of struggle, united as commanders in the People’s Militia of Donbass,” said Gubarev.
Also in the book, he examines the 24-year period of Ukrainian independence.
“I’ll explain this using relevant examples: how we studied at school; How did you study at the university? I concern Russian organizations in Ukraine; Moscow's failed strategy in the Russian question in Ukraine. Then I smoothly move on to the Flash, which was called the Russian Spring. I talk about its causes, its genesis, and I talk about all its pitfalls. I give a detailed breakdown of what happened in Donetsk, what I saw with my own eyes. The book came out emotional. During war scenes, many women read and cry. The book is dedicated to all those who fell in the war for Novorossiya,” Gubarev said.
According to Gubarev, in the book he tried to formulate the image of a dream country - Novorossiya.
“There is little theory in the book - there is mainly practice. All the ideas mentioned in the book were learned by me from Russian authorities - political, economic, managerial. These are Glazyev and Katasonov. Both doctors of economic sciences and demographers helped me in writing. All this happened in live communication. That's why they are co-authors of my book. I give quite extensive quotes from them in the book. In the book, I created the image of Novorossiya as a dream country, the one we want it to be. I am convinced that many will like this image,” emphasized the leader of the Russian Spring in Donetsk.
As Gubarev said, “The Torch of Novorossiya” was published in a circulation of 4000 copies, the book has 420 pages. The designers of the publication “Sputnik and Pogrom” helped him design the cover. It depicts Gubarev himself, although neither he nor his co-authors wanted this. However, the publisher's marketers won the discussion about this.
