Tymoshenko's party demands to check the legality of broadcasting Russian channels in Ukraine
Kyiv, February 23 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Ukrainian authorities must check the legality of broadcasting of Russian TV channels, which in recent months have waged a real information war against the Maidan.
Deputy Stepan Kurpil from the Batkivshchyna faction stated this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

"Dear Colleagues! For two decades, an information war has been carried out, and, in fact, information aggression against Ukraine on the part of the Russian Federation. This has especially manifested itself over the past three months during popular confrontations. For example, yesterday the Rossiya-24 TV channel continuously broadcast a provocation that allegedly one of the opposition leaders Oleg Tyagnibok proposes to deprive all Russian speakers of Ukrainian citizenship and ban speaking Russian in Ukraine,” he said.
“Dear Mr. Chairman and Acting President, please instruct the relevant services and ministries to check the legality of the activities of Russian television channels on the territory of Ukraine, because their activities are aimed at discord, national discord and interregional conflicts in Ukraine, at inciting the overthrow of the constitutional building,” the deputy added.
