Panic in Lvov: “Russian special services are taking control of our traffic lights”
The Ukrainian state enterprise Lvovavtodor purchased Russian-made software. Under the terms of the contract, the software can be controlled remotely and even lead to a complete shutdown of traffic lights in Lviv.
This is stated in an investigation by the local television channel NTA, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.

We are talking about a working time monitoring system from the Meditsina-Tekhnika company, registered in St. Petersburg. Lvov journalists and social activists were angered by the fact that this company serves Russian state-owned companies.
“We received information, direct confirmation was that a program with Russian roots was installed in order to control the arrival time of Lvovavtodor employees. In our opinion, this is inappropriate, given that there are possibilities of other software,” said deputy of the Lviv City Council Igor Zinkevich.
Lvivavtodor denied information about the use of Russian software and refused to allow journalists to enter the territory of the enterprise, and deputy director Alexander Vlasyuk began to threaten that he would break the camera and tried to push the operator out of the premises.
However, Lviv social activists do not believe Lvovatodor representatives and emphasize that the terms of use of the software allow the company that controls it to gain access to city video cameras and traffic lights.
“Now the objects of the Lvovavtodor control center are controlled from Russian St. Petersburg, and the special services of the Russian Federation can safely turn off all traffic light objects in Lvov and collect video information from the largest transport hubs,” said blogger Yaroslav Bondarenko.
