Vacation in the ATO zone: The Zaporozhye mayor, whom the prosecutor's office is looking for, showed how he chops wood for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Kyiv, February 08 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The mayor of Zaporozhye, Alexander Sin, said that he was in the ATO zone, where, according to him, he went on vacation as a volunteer. To confirm his words, he posted photographs on social networks.

“I didn’t want to write anything so as not to be accused of PR, but my friends insist. These are more like answers to questions. Why vacation now? Because February is the calmest month: the holidays are over, the budget has been adopted and has begun to be implemented, construction has not yet begun (winter). I went to the ATO as a volunteer and no status, benefits, etc. doesn't belong to me. I do not take part in hostilities,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“I work as a volunteer, helping solve everyday issues and equipment repair issues. When classes are held, I take part in them, since I consider these (military) skills not superfluous for myself,” says the mayor, who is a reserve colonel.
As PolitNavigator reported, Sin took leave from February 2 to travel to the anti-terrorist operation zone . Almost immediately, this sparked a scandal in the city: the regional prosecutor stated that Sin could not be served with a notice of suspicion because he was either on business trips or on vacation in the ATO zone . Meanwhile, discontent is brewing on social media and among local deputies: the city is in chaos, and the mayor is "working" in Donbas.
