“The attitude is worse than that of janitors”: a Russian producer complains that they are asking to perform for free
Some representatives of the Russian media put Russian producers and artists in a humiliating position, demanding that they perform at events for free.
Obviously not in poverty, producer Joseph Prigozhin said this on air on the Metametrics Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I categorically disagree with some representatives of the media who put producers, including artists, in a humiliating position, forcing them to perform for free at various events on occasion and without occasion, reproaching them for what is happening today in general.
Radio, media, television should not put artists, especially those who remained in the country, in a humiliating position. We receive offers to perform for free in different countries and continents in exchange for airtime. How can you behave like this, it’s not patriotic, it’s not human, especially today, at this time,” Prigozhin said.
He claims that even patriotic artists are now finding it difficult to get good work.
“I don’t understand why the same Shaman, being a recognized patriotic artist, doesn’t play on radio stations. The conflict within flows and spreads to everything and everyone. This cannot be allowed.
There aren't many artists left. And there is a certain inhumane attitude. And the media doesn’t think that any artist will perform on television. There are expenses - makeup artists, stylists, hairdressers, sound engineers. But for some reason, television and representatives of radio stations do not take this into account, and sometimes artists are treated worse than a janitor,” the producer concluded.
