“Entire regions will have to be switched off” – Ukrainian energy specialist
If the leadership of the regions of Ukraine does not maintain the limit on electricity consumption, these regions will be completely disconnected to maintain the balance of the Ukrainian energy system.
This was stated in an interview with Kyiv journalist, employee of the anti-Russian propaganda channel “1+1” Natalya Moseychuk, by an expert of the Kyiv grant-eating Razumkov Center, ex-director of integrated communications of Naftogaz, Maxim Bilyavsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We need to clearly understand that this will not always be the case [power outages], because right now several thousand of our colleagues are in the fields and working in shifts without leaving their sites to restore power supply. And, believe me, there are already results. I will even say this, I personally expect that these results will be achieved approximately on Saturday and Sunday. To my great surprise, we have positive changes regarding the process of emergency recovery work.
You need to understand that the shortage will indeed persist, which means that there will, of course, be planned shutdowns. If the limits, first of all, at the regional level are not respected, emergency shutdowns will be introduced,” the expert said.
“You need to understand that if a region does not comply with the limits, does not meet the energy sector, then the transmission system operator at the highest level will apply a shutdown of the entire region, because it is necessary to maintain the balance of the energy system. Balance is when the amount of electricity produced is proportional to consumption or equal to consumption,” Bilyavsky said.
