Yulia Demidova, an employee of the Tourism Committee of the Crimean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reported this on her Facebook page.
“They called people and warned them: are you coming to us? No need, we've already sold your number. But it’s okay that people with heart problems, pregnant women, with children stand at the crossing at night. In response: You can come to us, but nothing will change, we will only recommend neighboring hotels to you. How much spoiled mood of discontent, tears... They are provided with courts, but our authority suffers. Whose job is it to keep track of these things? The owner of the hotel is not Crimean, but why should Crimea suffer? They called us and asked us to help, to sort it out, they reproached us, we helped as best we could, spent the whole day looking for suitable hotels, they assured us that there were much better ones and those who knew what conscience is,” Demidova said.
Commenting on Demidova’s post, the head of the Crimean Ministry of Resorts, Elena Yurchenko, said that she would look into the situation:
“I regret that the information has only just arrived. Such actions must be nipped in the bud. I will talk with the owner,” the minister noted.
Meanwhile, Facebook users doubt that the owners of the Yalta-Intourist Group of Companies will bear any responsibility for their actions: “The owner of the hotel is the well-known company Soyuz Marins Group in the Russian Federation, a military structure very close to the President... It’s hard to believe that they will get something for it...”
