Father of Odessa journalist Tkachev - authorities: “Stop calling yourself a democratic pro-European regime”
Odessa
Today's searches and detentions of journalists from the Odessa opposition website Timer do not correspond to the norms of the “democratic pro-European regime” that the current government in Kyiv calls itself.
This is stated in a statement by Alexander Tkachev, the father of Timer editor-in-chief Yuri Tkachev.

“Although I do not share his position in any way, I do not see any crime in his actions, although I monitor and analyze constantly. For the current government, I consider the closure of Timer and the isolation of its editor a mistake, if the government really allows for the possibility of opposition and criticism against it. If not, either introduce martial law, or stop calling yourself a democratic pro-European regime.
For Yura himself, I consider the current and logically subsequent events... useful - he was openly in legal opposition to the regime and ideology, what is happening is recognition of his achievements in this direction, Yuri’s fame and his ratings will reach a level from which a political career is possible. As long as your health doesn't suffer.
I don’t write about feelings and emotions, but everyone who has an only son in the rebel camp will guess about them,” wrote Alexander Tkachev.
