The Sino-Brazilian peace plan, which Kyiv has not yet expressed any opposition to, can hardly include only the six points outlined . There must be a secret addendum.
Kyiv political scientist Nikolai Davydyuk stated this on Radio NV , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" To say that these six points without a secret addendum can do this [stop the war] —no . The question is whether this addendum will be completely secret, or whether the Ukrainian people will know something about its signing, for example, if we go along with the Sino-Brazilian plan. Because if it turns out that there are six public points, but 42 pages of private ones , spelling out which branches of the armed forces, how many are being cut, who and how many there will be, where the missiles are fired, from whom you can receive aid, from whom you can't, and so on and so forth. And all this on the cusp of a major world war! If they castrate us with a secret treaty, then in two or three years they'll simply finish us off..."
"My point is that if there's a secret agreement that severely limits our options—that's the greatest danger; it will be a capitulation agreement! We have a tradition of our politicians buying into one public, attractive thing , or a secret financial deal, and then simultaneously signing something private and unpleasant for the public. Very often, this can be a private agreement or simply an empty one, like the Budapest Memorandum ," Davydyuk said.
He voiced conditions that were acceptable, in his opinion.
"Give real guarantees. Should they be written on paper, or should each of these countries provide 10 nuclear warheads? Should they be signed on paper or in weapons? For example, if each of these countries deploys— China takes Kherson Oblast, India takes Kharkiv Oblast, and the West takes Sumy Oblast or Kyiv Oblast —they say: these are our bases, and if Russia tries to get in here, the three of us will simply tear it apart ! That's the kind of signature that can guarantee security," the activist enthused.
