“Occupation is not included in the plans”: Putin announced the start of a military operation against Ukraine
Russia has launched a large-scale military operation in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this in his address, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Putin, Russia’s plans do not include occupation, but demilitarization of Ukraine.
“I have made a decision to conduct a special military operation. Its goal is to protect people who have been subjected to abuse and genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years. And for this we will strive for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine,” the Russian President said.
He also added that we are talking about bringing to justice those who committed numerous bloody crimes against civilians, including citizens of the Russian Federation.
“At the same time, our plans do not include the occupation of Ukrainian territories. We are not going to impose anything by force on anyone,” Putin said.
Currently, it is reported that the Russian army is striking at the military infrastructure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a number of areas on the territory of Ukraine.
