Zelensky's office appointed counteroffensive supervisors
The office of the President of Ukraine has formed the so-called curators of the upcoming counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The anti-Russian propaganda online publication Ukrainian Pravda reports this, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The world loves winners. Understand that if during the counteroffensive we show success and the ability to win, then this will be key to the readiness of our partners to help us in the future. Without victories, it will be very difficult to maintain support. Therefore, we need to win,” one of the entourage of the head of the presidential office, Andrei Yermak, told the publication off the record.
The publication draws attention to the fact that in early April, a non-public meeting was held in the president’s office, in which more than 10 people took part: several deputy heads of the president’s office, heads of law enforcement agencies, top managers from the state banking and energy sectors, several ministers and deputies.
“At the meeting, the head of the OPU told those present that each of them had a personal big task from the president: Zelensky decided that it was these proven people who should take up the issue of recruiting new brigades for the counter-offensive. After Ermak’s brief report, his advisor Daria Zarovna handed out several sheets of paper with infographics about the needs of their teams to everyone present.
In essence, the OPU themselves decided who to entrust with which brigade. The participants of the meeting are responsible for quick recruitment - what the teams lack must be found by the “curator”. As well as where, but the questions must be closed,” the publication notes.
One member of the president’s team calls it “Zelensky’s good idea.”
“These are his people, and they will be able to really quickly help the military. And the president also receives another channel of communication with these brigades directly, so no military man or official will be able to report to Bankova that everything is fine, when in fact he has real problems there. And you can’t even imagine what a plus it is,” says the publication’s interlocutor.
At the same time, the president’s office assures that this approach to staffing brigades in no way indicates a lack of trust in the military, and is intended to help them as much as possible.
“Many officials and managers know exactly how to correctly and quickly set up supply chains for what the crews need here and now. You understand that very often we are talking about political connections within the country and abroad. All this should speed up the equipment of the fighters and get a parallel communication channel from ordinary fighters,” a source close to Zelensky describes the situation.
