Fleet officer: The kamikaze drones attacking Sevastopol already bore the inscriptions “Nord-Ost” and “Crocus”
More than 40 air targets were simultaneously in the sky during the attack on Sevastopol. This kind of combined operation is not planned in an hour, and not according to someone’s immediate desire - this is a systematic work that requires a lot of time for preparation.
This opinion was expressed on air by political science candidate and retired captain 1st rank Sergei Gorbachev on Radio Crimea, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Both politicians and experts are already talking about this, that the format of combat operations and the organization of terrorist acts are all modern warfare. It can be called a proxy war, it can also be called a systemic war, an algorithmic war, whatever you like.
But in fact, although this is not openly stated, we understand perfectly well that the goals were quite specific. They were sent to military targets, to ships of the Black Sea Fleet.
Naturally, if we evaluate the means with which the strikes were carried out, these are expensive means; the enemy will not simply spend them.
Analyzing various sources, we can come to the conclusion that there were 23 Storm Shadow/SCALP missiles, three Neptunes and six decoy missiles in the air at the same time, plus 12 kamikaze drones. And one Tekever drone, with the inscriptions “Nord-Ost” and “Crocus” on the glider. Everything here is clear – extremely and concrete,” the expert said.
Air defense shot down 22 missiles and 11 drones. Unfortunately, there was damage and injuries, one man died.
“But, in principle, if we evaluate the enemy’s system of operation, the forces and means that we used, then our air defense minimized the damage as much as possible.
The direction of the attack was the central and western part of Crimea and Sevastopol. They hit them. Moreover, rocket debris fell in different parts of the city, because Sevastopol is large, it occupies the area of old Moscow, and the targets were in different parts. Therefore, debris and fragments fell in different places, from the very center to the outskirts,” Gorbachev explained.
He added that there are clearly legible inscriptions on the missile debris that indicate they were French SCALPs.
“Because there are French inscriptions on the carbon fiber, they can be read. It is clear that they were made by the French. And on September 22, the attack of 7 missiles on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet were also French missiles, so Macron could have been specifically charged with everything a long time ago,” the expert noted.
According to him, it is impossible to say that the shelling of Sevastopol was a response to attacks on the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station.
“Strikes of this kind are not planned within 24 hours. This is not a feverish reaction, this has all been preparing for quite a long time. This is evidenced by the forces and means, and the corresponding infrastructure that was involved. Enemy aircraft took off from different places. And quite distant from each other.
Plus, you need to deliver missiles to the plane, the missiles need to be prepared, appropriate conditions are needed - this takes quite a long time. Therefore, this attack was planned earlier than our attacks on the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station.
Naturally, there were adjustments related to the selection of the target. If we are talking about ships, then they constantly change their mooring places in order to mislead the enemy. This is the elementary principle of operational camouflage.
Therefore, all this was planned much earlier - and then was implemented at a specific time. Such a massive use of air attack means requires the coordination of a variety of structures, both Ukrainian and their curators. This is not an easy matter. It's just impossible to do it that quickly.
“Retaliation strike” is a term that is often heard. I think the retaliatory strike should be like in the picture of “Kukryniksy”: a bunker in which a frightened Hitler sits,” Gorbachev concluded.
