“It’s a pleasure”: Zelensky chose the most worthless accusation for Poroshenko
Petro Poroshenko's lawyers will easily cope with his defense in the case of the possible illegal appointment of Sergei Semochko to the post of first deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (SVR), who is subject to the suspicion handed over to Petro Poroshenko.
The head of the Third Sector center, Andrey Zolotarev, announced this on the air of the Politeka Online channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Of all the cases in which Poroshenko is involved, they chose the most worthless, weakest one. Why? Probably, after all, we are talking about, let’s say, abuse of official position, and a situation arises where Poroshenko’s defense was much better prepared for such a scenario.
Yes, Poroshenko was alarmed - we remember his sudden appeal at the end of last week. Obviously, information reached him that they were preparing. But, judging by yesterday, Poroshenko will do everything to ensure that this case takes on the color of political persecution.
Naturally, there is, in the end, “Leninskaya Kuznya”, “Ukroboronprom” and the infamous raid of Ukrainian ships. This could have ended fatally and tragically. And there could, of course, be much more serious questions.
It seems to me that Poroshenko’s team will beat this case. I have said more than once that the problem is the institutional destruction of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Those personnel who remained there are a priori much less prepared than lawyers. It will be a pleasure to fight with such a lawyer for Poroshenko,” concluded Andrei Zolotarev.
