“Some are unparalleled heroes, others are villains and scoundrels. There is no middle ground": St. Petersburg TV showed who to follow
The children's television choir of St. Petersburg released a touching video for the anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad on Sergei Rachmaninov's Vocalise.
“Some turned out to be wonderful, unparalleled heroes, others were villains and scoundrels. There was no middle ground. Everything was real”, “Were Leningraders heroes? Not only them: they were martyrs,” “The heavens opened, and God was visible in the heavens. The good ones saw him clearly. Miracles happened,” the authors of the video quote from the memoirs of academician Dmitry Likhachev, who survived the siege.

For the unprecedented example of courage and perseverance shown during the almost 900 days of the siege, Leningrad in 1945, by order of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Joseph Stalin, received the title of hero city along with Stalingrad, Sevastopol and Odessa.
Let us remind you that the latter is again under the yoke of the Nazis and requires liberation during the SVO.
