As PolitNavigator reported, Savenko previously claimed responsibility for the explosion of a boat in the Sea of Azov and also promised to come to Odessa with the militia.
According to the publication "Reporter ," Oleksiy Goncharenko, Chairman of the Odessa Regional Council, proposed considering the recall of Deputy Savenko, citing the fact that the SBU has opened proceedings against him and he is effectively wanted.
“The SBU has opened criminal proceedings. He is almost a wanted man. But we do not have the opportunity to exclude him based on a court decision,” he noted.
This decision was opposed by the head of the Rodina faction, Konstantin Grinchenko, which includes Savenko. He clarified that the formal reason chosen was that he had never been to a session of the regional council in a year. “If we condemn him for separatism, then that’s a different matter. But if it’s for truancy, then let’s expel all the truants from the squad,” he noted.
Other deputies proposed creating a special commission.
