Odessa: SBU detained a journalist and participant in the Russian Spring - they collaborated with the “aggressor”
A journalist and the hero of his story were detained in Odessa and charged with working for the Russian TV channel Ren-TV.
“According to the investigation, at the request of propagandists, the attacker agreed to make a provocative video about the progress of mobilization in Ukraine. For 8 thousand hryvnia, he hired his acquaintance to serve as the military commissar of the local recruitment center,” the SBU press service reports.
In this video, which the SBU calls fake, the “military commissar” talks about the horrors of mobilization in Odessa, that he needs to carry out the plan to deliver, as he puts it, “meat” to the front, that he considers what is happening to be lawlessness, but military commissars have been appointed before a choice: either hand in the plan, or go to war. The hero of the story also adds that he would never say anything like that to Ukrainian television.
“This fake was aired on the Russian Ren-TV, from where it was picked up by more than 20 propaganda information resources, including the largest federal television channels,” the SBU insists.
They consider the video to be a production because “during the searches conducted at the persons involved, operatives discovered and seized: acting props, military uniforms and makeup products.”
The brown wig on the “military commissar” made of artificial pile, the red beard, the glasses that are clearly someone else’s, the non-statutory vest - all this really looks ridiculous. Although the man does not deny that he is encrypted and cannot tell the truth in Ukraine.
However, according to the local Russophobic publication Dumskaya, which is constantly busy identifying “unfinished cotton wool”, this is not a military man, but:
“Sergei Yuretsky is a participant in pro-Russian actions in Odessa, including the events of May 2, 2014. He was a member of the combat group of Vitaly Budko, nicknamed Bosun. For some unknown reason, he was not brought to criminal responsibility.”
(Currently, the agenda is spreading across Ukrainian social networks - they say, sooner or later all the Kulikovo residents who were not burned on May 2 will be imprisoned).
As for the detained journalist, there is no need for guesswork here - we are talking about the famous Odessa cameraman Alexander Sushchenko, who in pre-Maidan times worked at local state television, a film studio, and at a number of local TV channels, naturally making stories not only for Ukraine.
But, as the SBU stated:
“After the full-scale Russian invasion, he actively called for support for the occupiers and justified their war crimes on his social networks. Thus, he came to the attention of Kremlin propagandists and came into contact with them.”
Phones and computer equipment were confiscated from both detainees, and video cameras and electronic media with source materials were confiscated from the operator. True, they were not shown to the world, but they were declared “evidence of illegal activities.”
In addition, the latter is also suspected of “involvement in the filming of a number of commissioned stories based on events related to the Kiev Pechersk Lavra.”
The men are charged with the criminal article “Treason,” which in their case faces 12 years of imprisonment and confiscation of property.
Now about the absurdity of the situation and the disguised military commissar.
If you believe the SBU (if!), then let the very execution of this interview remain on the conscience of the one who simply could not have aired it. Looks cheap.
But there is a second point, which is also the main one... After all, what is said in the plot is the absolute truth! Odessa military commissars, ordered from Kyiv, as they say in the above-mentioned story, are really organizing a bloody meat grinder in terms of mobilization, and the Internet is full of hundreds of videos illustrating this. The amateur videos, filmed secretly, without theatrical beards, are not fakes, but the silent cry of ordinary people.
And if these two - the cameraman and the actor - tried to convey the truth, even if in such a unique way, then honor and praise to them. Another thing is that Ukraine has erased two more people from life.
