Another attempt to break through the border: Donetsk border guards called for help from aviation
Donetsk, June 05 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Marinovka checkpoint (Donetsk region) was attacked from the Russian side. The battle lasts more than 2,5 hours.

According to the State Border Service, at 16:05 a column of armed people attacked Ukrainian border guards at the Marynivka checkpoint. The attacking column includes an armored personnel carrier, 4 KAMAZ vehicles equipped with Utes heavy machine guns, 3 minibuses with armed people and 4 cars. One of the cars entered from Russian territory. The border guards opened fire and asked for help from the Ukrainian military.
At 16:50, border guards destroyed one KAMAZ and one heavy machine gun of Russian saboteurs, the department said.
As of 18.30 the battle continued. Aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine twice carried out fire strikes on the positions of the attackers.
“There are losses on their part. 3 border guards were wounded. The grass is burning near the checkpoint,” the department’s press service reported.
At the same time, the head of the Center for Military-Political Studies, Dmitry Tymchuk, reported on his Facebook page that the entire convoy of cars and military equipment arrived from Russian territory.
As Navigator reported, according to information from former Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko, over the past 130 hours, border guards have left outposts along a 15-kilometer section of the state border in the Lugansk region. During the night, XNUMX KAMAZ trucks drove through this “gap.” Many experts call this a disaster for Ukraine.
