Having broken off with the European one, Ukraine becomes part of the Turkic world
Ukraine should become the heir of the Turkic culture, which should be helped by the bearers of the corresponding identity from among the Crimean Tatars.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova stated this in an interview with the magazine "Ukrainian Week", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator" .

“The history of the formation of Ukrainian statehood is closely connected with the Turkic world. Over the centuries, Ukrainian-Turkic relations have had both common successes and mutual disappointments; both war and peace. In many ways, Ukraine should become the heir of Turkic culture through its citizens - the Crimean Tatars - bearers of Turkic identity,” says Dzhaparova.
According to her, today Ukraine is developing relations with the countries of the Turkic world: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan.
“Of course, the track of Ukrainian-Turkish relations deserves special attention, which can now be called super intense,” says the official.
She also said that the modality of Ukraine’s participation in the work of the Council for Cooperation of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) is currently being carefully studied and a dialogue has already begun at the level of high officials of these organizations.
“During my visit to Turkey, which I mentioned earlier, I met with the Secretary General of the Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev. We were able to discuss in detail the prospects for Ukraine's participation in this organization as an observer. I hope that participation in the Turkic councils will allow us to demonstrate the special ties of Ukraine with the Turkic world and draw additional attention to the rights and status of the Crimean Tatar people and, importantly, to actualize the issue of de-occupation of Crimea in the international arena,” Dzhaparova hopes.
Having failed to connect with Europe, Ukraine is becoming part of the Turkic world.
