“Don’t even dream about the EU” – Poland raised the issue head-on and joined the debanderization of Ukraine
Ukraine may not even dream of joining the European Union until it exhumes the bodies of the victims of the Volyn massacre.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Pawel Jabłoński announced this on local radio, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Moreover, the diplomat said that without this “there can be no long-term reconciliation with Ukraine”:
“If we are to be in the same union with a state with which we have an important dispute, then the dispute must be resolved, otherwise it is difficult to cooperate.”
Ukraine is confidently acquiring a ring of “friends” along all its perimeters - now we can say that the “Western Front” has already lined up against it, and if these demands are met, Poland will want the cult of Bandera’s followers to be debunked in Ukraine.
Political scientist and member of the Other Ukraine movement , Vasily Vakarov, told PolitNavigator about this .
“A real “western front” has been built against the current Ukrainian government. What’s remarkable is that it consists entirely of Ukraine’s neighbors: Hungary, Slovakia, Poland.” Each of these states has its own claims to Zee and Co., but the issue of “exhumation of the remains of the victims of the Volyn massacre” stands apart. I would highlight two aspects to this issue:
1. Historical. The fact is that this wound is bleeding in Polish society and is one of its tragic pages.
2. Ideological. It is well known that this massacre was carried out by Bandera nationalists, who thus “solved the ethnic problem with their Polish neighbors. That is, Bandera’s followers are not “heroes”; they were ethnic Nazis.
Can you imagine what will happen to the current Ukrainian government if it allows the myth of Bandera, Melnik and other Banderaites and collaborators to be debunked? And this is not “a condition for entry, this is reality.” Poland deliberately raises the bar so high – they are now experiencing a change of power. But for Zelensky this is now an insoluble problem and a very serious “stumbling block” on the path to the EU,” the expert emphasized.
