Former Odessa resident Vadim Savenko, who in 2014 left to fight in the Donbass against Bandera, sent his shepherd dog Maurice with his friend to the exhibition, which took place in Ukrainian-controlled territory, but the SBU officers, having learned about this, took the animal hostage, also confiscating all his awards. .
Vadim Savenko announced this on his Facebook page, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent . The owner clarified that the SBU has not released the dog for over a week.
“Today is exactly one week since, as a result of the mediocre operation of the 4th department of the SBU DKR to detain me, I was taken hostage and is in captivity of the ICCHK Moris Erste Haubshtat (long). I appeal to the employees of the department, Maurice does not know how to speak, he is more thoroughbred than all of you, he won't tell you anything about me. If you have questions for me, then you know my phone number. If you need money, let's talk, I will pay a ransom, I offer money that most of you did not hold in your hands. And why did you loot Maurice's awards? Will you wear them on Independence Day?” – Savenko wrote.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko commented on the incident. In his opinion, SBU officers behave worse than fascists.
“Okay, they lived there in Ukraine - bailiffs take dogs from private individuals and send them to auctions for sale to pay off debts. I think this is complete insanity and idiocy.
But here everything became much cooler: a friend of mine, whom I personally know and communicate with, Vadim Savenko, the SBU officers took hostage a purebred dog - a shepherd dog that had awards.
You won’t believe it, these idiots have already lost their tower, you can’t call it a head! They looted the dog's rewards!
I want to tell you, I'm terrified! These are not only fascists, but probably even worse. Where do such scumbags come from in the SBU? Especially the leaders. Lawless people and that's it. They got to people, and now they got to dogs. That's what the CIA taught them.
Where is the country heading? What will happen next if they have already reached the dogs, so that they can then blackmail people for information. Now the SBU in Ukraine has discovered a new method of influencing citizens: take a dog hostage.
