“It’s impossible to resist” – in Kyiv they complain about the new Russian tactics of using drones
The emerging advantage of the Russian Federation in the number and variety of strike and reconnaissance UAVs will allow the use of tactics that are impossible to counter.
A military expert, retired SBU Colonel Oleg Starikov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“This is new in the tactics of combat use of drones, which has already been tested on the line of combat contact. The tactic consists of the massive use of fpv drones and drone bombers with powerful ammunition, destroying dugouts in a few attacks.
Essentially, a new layer of war has appeared that did not exist before. Aerial reconnaissance detects a target, followed by the use of a drone bomber. And after the enemy jumps out of the dismantled dugout, an fpv drone is used against him,” Starikov said.
He emphasized that to counter such tactics, we need means that the Ukrainian Armed Forces simply do not have.
“We have not yet learned how to counter this tactic. Thus, small air has become capable of high-precision fire destruction, is difficult to intercept and is controlled remotely using miniature infrastructure that is difficult to hit.
To counteract this tactic, it is necessary to saturate the battlefield with similar low-air weapons and provide electronic warfare systems to every combat group and armored combat vehicle or tank. And also have a full-time reconnaissance unit to identify UAV operators and an artillery unit to destroy them.
This is a long-term matter, and whoever is the first to bring this work to automation will be the one who will win on the battlefield for the next ten years,” the military expert neatly summed up.
