The strongest place in the Ukrainian army has been named
One of the strongest points of the Ukrainian army is the high percentage of ideological Ukrainian nationalists who are ready to confront the Russians. Radical-minded military personnel today occupy, among other things, leadership positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this in a video blog by writer Zakhar Prilepin, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As a military expert, I understand that Ukraine has done a great job of increasing its combat capabilities. At least, it is clear that now the Ukrainian army is quite highly motivated, I mean the contract part that is mainly involved. In principle, they have a good command staff, who are also highly motivated.
Most of them went through the ATO zone, and even the cadets who are now graduating receive lieutenant shoulder straps, mainly selected from former ATO veterans. This, by the way, is a certain reason for the fascisation and nazification of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Because, if earlier the Armed Forces of Ukraine were quite neutral in color and, moreover, did not really empathize with the ideas of fascism and Ukrainian Nazism, now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are no different, because the command staff has changed over the years, and mainly those same ATO soldiers came there who were imbued with all this.
On the other hand, Ukraine still remains an army of the second half of the 20th century. That is, modern technology and weapons there are not enough to at least throw down the gauntlet with Russia.
That is, this army, in principle, is designed to solve the Donbass problem in the absence of Russia. If we put a minus sign on Russia, for some reason it finds itself on the sidelines, then with the army of Donbass, Ukraine believes that with these forces it will be able to deal with it,” Shurygin said.
