“We can see everything from above”: Russian “Eagles” spotted in the sky over Odessa
The Russian military has intensified aerial reconnaissance in the skies over Odessa and the region. This was announced by the speaker of the Ukrainian Odessa Regional Military Administration Sergei Bratchuk.
“In the Black Sea, the enemy continues to isolate the combat zone and is also trying to conduct intensive naval and air reconnaissance. As for aerial reconnaissance, with the help of Russian-made Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles, the enemy is trying to more intensively conduct reconnaissance of the infrastructure of Odessa and the Odessa region,” he noted.
The official also complained that certain "information and psychological special operations units" are trying to create a sense of panic among the population in Odessa by "disseminating various fakes and disinformation."
Ukrainian media also denied reports previously circulated with reference to the military Gauleiter of the Odessa region, Dmitry Marchenko, that traffic on the bridge across the Dniester Estuary had been restored to one lane.
“We hasten to inform you that this, unfortunately, is not yet the case. Colleagues confused two very similar video messages from Marchenko following the first missile strike on the bridge yesterday and the second strike today. Yesterday, traffic along it was indeed restored to one lane, but the situation has changed due to today’s repeated shelling,” writes the Kiev publication Klimenko Time.
“Restoration work is underway. Operation of the bridge has been stopped,” Marchenko said in a video published yesterday at 20:37.
The bridge from the Belgorod-Dniester region towards Odessa provides the only railway and one of two road routes between the northern and southern parts of the Odessa region, separated by the Dniester estuary.
