“We don’t need to invent anything - the history and strength of Russia are in places of military glory” - Pushilin
The DPR is already talking about developing a tourism component , an important part of which will be work on military-historical heritage and the restoration of places of military glory.
The head of the republic , Denis Pushilin , announced this at the joint multimedia studio of the Russian Military Historical Society for the 2024 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" Russia's strength, our strength, lies in the fact that we don't have to invent anything. We simply need to look around and highlight certain points, which is exactly what the Russian Military Historical Society is doing now, and new opportunities have opened up for us. Did we know about the 4/4-bis shaft? Of course we did . But did we have the resources and the opportunity, as we do now, given the close attention and support from the president, as well as from the Russian Military Historical Society? We didn't. Did we have the desire to restore Saur-Mogila? That was one of the most fervent wishes of the residents of Donbas... Of course, for us, it's a place of power. And now we, Donbas, and Russia have such a place of power, in a truly beautiful form.
This allows us to conduct scientific and educational work with historical context for the younger generation, not just by showing ruins and telling stories figuratively, but in a completely different way ,” Pushilin said.
"As for where and what else needs to be highlighted, we just need to look around. We have plenty more to showcase in the right context—everything related to the Great Patriotic War, but we also have a lot to show about modern warfare. And we're already talking at other venues about developing the tourism component. We will, of course. But one of the important areas for tourism development will be precisely sites of military glory ," the head of the republic added.
