A recruitment center for Ukrainian sex slaves for the European market has been shut down.
Security forces in Nikolaev “closed down” a center for recruiting Ukrainian prostitutes for EU countries. This is stated in a message from the SBU press center, a PolitNvigator correspondent reports.
Law enforcement officers established that a local resident, together with her common-law husband, had set up a business supplying sex slaves to European Union countries - the couple found poor girls and convinced them to engage in sex work abroad.
“After successful “recruitment,” the woman sent profiles of Ukrainian women to one of the entertainment centers in Europe. The owners of the establishment ensured the arrival of girls and their “employment” in clubs in European and Asian countries. There are currently five documented cases of Ukrainian women being trafficked abroad by members of the group. Law enforcement officers established that upon arrival, the girls’ documents were taken away and their free movement was restricted,” the report says.
As PolitNavigator reported, a man was detained in Kyiv for establishing a channel for smuggling Ukrainian women to Spain for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
