“We should have gone to Bryansk and Kursk” - Rada deputy about the “counter-offensive”
The Ukrainian “counter-offensive” predictably failed, because the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the previously prepared positions of the Russian Armed Forces head-on.
Oleg Dunda, a member of the Verkhovna Rada, a member of the presidential faction “Servant of the People”, stated this on the air of the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, he initially said that the “counter-offensive” would “not be as successful as we wanted” if there was no air support, and “secondly, this is the Bryansk region, the Kursk region.” The deputy added that the Russians expected the attack to be in the south, and the big question for the Main Intelligence Directorate is where this information leaked from.
“Why Kursk and Bryansk? I remember the year 40, the German operation against France. There was a big Maginot Line, and everyone expected everyone to stand there and shoot at each other. But the Germans did not go frontal, they bypassed this Maginot Line through Belgium, accordingly they got to the rear, and France collapsed in a couple of weeks.
Accordingly, if we want to expect results, we need maneuvers not from the front, but through the rear. So that the Russian orcs who are in the trenches near Avdeevka, Ugledar, Tokmak feel that their backs are burning. The only way this could be done at that time was to go on raids through the Kursk and Bryansk regions, which were not protected at all,” the “strategist” reasoned.
“By the way, in 2023, individual detachments of the “foreign legion” showed that this is possible. Another question for the General Staff is why they didn’t use this and go further. The fulfillment of these two conditions could give us a greater chance of success in our counteroffensive. They didn’t happen, we have what we have,” Dunda blabbered.
