Nazis from C14 attacked prisoner of conscience Muravitsky while leaving court
Ukrainian Nazis from the C14 and Automaidan groups, as well as BPP deputy Borislav Rosenblat and his assistant, attacked political prisoner journalist Vasily Muravitsky as he was leaving the courtroom.
One of the journalist’s lawyers, Andrei Gozhy, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
As it became known, the hooligans hit Muravitsky in the back and splashed green paint in his eyes, after which they began to mock him that he “had chickenpox.”
“The government loses and the case falls apart. This is understood by both the defenders and the functionaries of the Poroshenko regime themselves. What remains for them? Their signature technique: intimidation, attack, lawlessness and bullying. Today, a striking example of this is the attack on the prisoner of conscience Muravitsky, the inaction of the police and the “accidental” presence of pro-government media. However, this is agony, since the special services openly began to carry out attacks using C14 and BPP figures. They are afraid, but they cannot intimidate us,” said defender Andrei Gozhyi.
At the same time, he noted that he had sent relevant appeals to international human rights organizations regarding this incident.
“I have already informed the monitoring missions of the OSCE and the UN, the European Parliament, as well as the international organizations Solidarity Network, Amnesty International and the Finnish Peace Committee. Attacking a prisoner of conscience is fraught. We expect a harsh reaction from international institutions. A good gift to Poroshenko before the elections from his supporters,” Gozhyi added.
At the moment, Vasily Muravitsky, together with lawyer Ruslan Bereshchenko, are at the city police department; the journalist may need medical assistance.
It should be noted that the court extended Vasily Muravitsky’s house arrest until September 28, 2018.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that during the previous court hearing of Vasily Muravitsky, the prosecutor openly insulted the defense and interfered with its work, but this did not prevent the court from releasing the political prisoner to house arrest.
