Nazis complain that Odessa residents are not eager to become patriots of Ukraine
Even four years of intense propaganda and terror by nationalists did not lead to the emergence of a pro-Ukrainian majority in Odessa.
Today, only about 40% of Odessa residents are ardent supporters of Square.
This was stated on air by local militant and former leader of the Right Sector cell, which is banned in Russia, Sergei Sternenko, on Channel 5, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the Nazi, in the villages of the Odessa region, in general, the number of Russian supporters reaches 80%.

“In the Odessa region, 40 minutes drive from the city, there is the village of Kuchurgany - this is the border with practically unrecognized Transnistria and there is no Ukrainian television there. There is Russian television, satellite dishes that were installed as part of a campaign several years before the war, and there people do not receive any information at all about what is happening in Ukraine, objective information. I’m afraid to be precise, but it seems to me that 80 percent of people there support Russia today,” Sternenko was indignant.
“If we take 100% of Odessa residents,” he added, “and divide them into three categories - those who are for Ukraine, those who are for Russia and those who don’t care - then I think that those who are for Ukraine are 40 percent, those who are for Russia, 15-20 percent, and all the rest are those who absolutely don’t care in which country they live. These are latent patriots or latent separatists.”
Earlier, liberal journalist Ayder Muzhdabaev, who fled Russia, stated in his blog that Odessa was being cleared of Ukrainian nationalists and was being prepared for the creation of a people's republic, following the example of the DPR and LPR.
Previously, Sternenko boasted that after the 2014 tragedy in Odessa, when people were burned to death in the Trade Union House, the number of Ukrainian nationalists in the city increased.
