An explosion occurred at the Akhmetov plant
On the night of January 28-29, an explosion occurred in one of the workshops of the Dneprovsky Coke and Chemical Plant. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“On January 29, at 3:30 a.m. in the city of Kamenskoye, on the territory of the Dneprovsky Coke and Chemical Plant CJSC, in the three-story building of the Resin Processing Shop, an explosion of a gas-air mixture with bitumen combustion occurred. Five people were hospitalized with burns in serious condition.
At 4:07, the State Emergency Service units extinguished the fire on an area of 200 square meters. m. The technological equipment of the workshop was damaged. The cause of the explosion is being investigated,” the department said in a statement.
Later, the press service of the National Police of Ukraine in the Dnepropetrovsk region stated that criminal proceedings had been opened regarding this fact.
“On this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Violation of safety rules during high-risk work”),” the police said.
This sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to three years of restriction of freedom.
Let us note that this industrial enterprise is part of the Metinvest company, the main shareholder of which is the Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov.
