It is noted that the film will appear on screens mainly in the center of the country and in the southeast.
The manager of one of the Ukrainian cinemas admitted that they preferred foreign films to Russian films. “On the day when “Dawns” comes out, we have other premieres, in our opinion, more commercially successful - “Second Chance” with Al Pacino and “Focus” with Will Smith,” he commented.
According to the director of the Kyiv cinema, Vilia Bondarenko, they also preferred Al Pacino: “Plus, a lot of festival films are planned.” “Some cinemas have probably decided to play it safe from the aggression of viewers who write online: “If I see this film on the posters, I will call the SBU,” she added.
Boris Vasiliev's story “The Dawns Here Are Quiet,” which tells about the tragic fate of five young girls during the Great Patriotic War, was published in 1969. Performances based on it were repeatedly staged in the theater, and in 1972 a film adaptation by Stanislav Rostotsky of the same name was released. The main roles in this film were played, in addition to Shevchuk and Drapeko, by Andrei Martynov, Olga Ostroumova, Irina Dolganova and Ekaterina Markova.
In 2005, China Central Television made a series based on the story with Russian actors.
