In the west of Ukraine - price collusion among bread producers

There are signs that bread producers in western Ukraine have come to an agreement and are holding prices, agricultural business expert Denis Marchuk said at a press conference in Kyiv.

“If we take the price of bread, then for some reason in Transcarpathia and western Ukraine the price of bread is much higher than in the eastern and central regions. That is, there may be a certain agreement between manufacturers not to lower prices below the established ones. It seems to me that this is a good precedent to demonstrate the work of the Antimonopoly Committee and see how much the price of bread is in western Ukraine today,” the expert believes.
