Poroshenko will compete for third place in the elections
No corruption scandals can affect the rating of a person with such a reputation as the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Mikhail Dobkin stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t believe that the current president has any rating. What sociological services draw for him, let it be on their conscience,” the deputy said.
“Well, maybe not twenty, but Poroshenko definitely has six or seven percent,” the presenter noted.
“Six to seven percent is not a rating for the current president, because with such baggage he is not even able to qualify for the second round. And I hope he doesn't end up there. By and large, he still has to win third place. He has part of his stable electorate, which I understand, but it is very small and divided among “Svoboda” and other ultra-radical political movements.
"That's why Poroshenko has successfully squandered everything he could in the east, center, and west. And these scandals —if they had happened to someone of crystal clear integrity, they would have affected his ratings, but since they happened to Mr. Poroshenko, they won't have much of an impact on him," Dobkin noted.
Poroshenko will compete for third place in the elections.
