There is a scandal in Volyn over a Lugansk appointee
A new head of the region was introduced in Volyn; he became the former deputy head of the Lugansk VGA Yuriy Pogulyayko, who before his career as an official worked in various positions in the police of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
The deputy head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Sergei Trofimov, came to Lutsk to represent Pogulyaiko - before this, the president himself had done similar things, but this time he cited being busy and did not visit Volyn.

Local nationalists opposed the appointee. They accuse Pogulyayko of not allowing them to hold rallies against the withdrawal of troops in the Donbass as deputy head of the Lugansk Military Administration.
In addition, he is suspected of sympathy for the Luhansk militias. The local TV channel AVERS notes that in the spring of 2014, when the LPR was proclaimed, Pogulyayko, working at the regional police department at that time, remained in Lugansk for another month.
In a comment to journalists, the newly appointed official explained that he went out with Ukrainian law enforcement officers to the Kiev-controlled part of the region and did not support the creation of the LPR.
“At the end of May and beginning of June, I actually worked in the Lugansk region. But there was a command to leave, did everyone leave? and I was on territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. And he also stood for integrity, you understand what I’m talking about,” Pogulyayko said.
