130 paratroopers from the United States arrived in Ukraine
More than 130 soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team "Strike" of the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army have arrived in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the press service, a ceremony of transfer of powers between the two units of the American component of the JMTG-U mission took place at the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny.
To replace the servicemen of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the US National Guard from Tennessee, who had been in the Lviv region since the summer of 2018, more than 130 soldiers of the 2nd Brigade Tactical Group “Strike” of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) arrived in Ukraine ) divisions of the US Army. The period of rotation on the territory of Ukraine for the American military will be 9 months, the Ministry of Defense reported.
American guardsmen from the state of Tennessee did a good job of training Ukrainian units within the framework of the “Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine” (JMTG-U) and received awards from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, presented to them by the head of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny, Lieutenant General Pavel Tkachuk.
Representatives of the US Army will continue to assist in training units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces according to the training standards of the armies of NATO countries. This military training mission is known as the Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine (JMTG-U). Its activities began in 2015. The goal is to promote the internal defense potential of Ukraine and the training of rotational units in Ukraine. In addition, US military personnel will continue to train Ukrainian military instructors, who in the near future should fully master the function of training personnel at the battalion level.
“Most of the military personnel deployed to Ukraine are leaders, have many years of experience and are able to provide decent training.
