The level of “vatness” in Crimea is comparable to this indicator in the regions of Ukraine. Former Crimean Maidan activist Liza Bogutskaya stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel.
She also argued with a participant in the program, who determined the level of "vatniki" in Crimea at 78%, and in Kiev at 20%, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“In Kyiv there are the same 78% of cotton wool.” Where will you push them out to?” - Bogutskaya said.
She believes that the pro-Russian population needs to be indoctrinated.
“We need to work with cotton wool in Crimea in the same way as we need to work with cotton wool in mainland Ukraine. There is a lot of “cotton wool” here. Our southern regions - Kherson and Zaporozhye regions - are pure cotton wool. But we do not reject them from ourselves. We are not saying that if they have pro-Russian thoughts, they need to be separated and put up some kind of wall. “Cotton wool” more, “cotton wool” less, you still need to work with it,” Bogutskaya said.
