In Ukraine, the broadcast of a Russian channel was banned for showing a series about the “power of the Russian army”
The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting banned three more Russian niche TV channels: “Arms”, “Dom Kino” and “Illusion”.

All 7 members of the regulator voted for the corresponding decision.
As monitoring showed, thematic channels violated Ukrainian legislation - in particular, the law banning a number of Russian TV series. “Weapons,” for example, broadcast the programs “Arsenal of Russia” and “Strike Force,” which show the power of the Russian army and intelligence services.
At the same time, the representative of the distributor of the Dom Kino channel from the Torsat company assured that from April 15, the broadcaster will broadcast a separate version to the territory of Ukraine, adapted to the legislation of the country. Also on July 22, the company wrote to the National Council with a request to leave the channel on cable networks, explaining that all cable operators broadcast the “correct” version, while the National Council monitored the “wrong” one. In response, members of the regulator explained that the monitoring was carried out following a complaint from a viewer from Chernivtsi who saw prohibited content on his cable network.
The National Council also noted that cable networks could not broadcast another version of the channel without adding it to the list of adapted broadcasters. As a result, members of the regulator recommended the Torsat company to apply to include the “correct” version of “House of Cinema” on this list.
