The space for supporting nationalism is narrowing in Ukraine – Kyiv media
In contrast to militant nationalism, militant anti-nationalism is emerging in Ukraine.
This was reported by the Kyiv online newspaper "Strana" , which noted that a number of recent statements by Ukrainian world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk, in particular his call for peace in the country, have provoked indignation among a portion of the Ukrainian public.
"This was enough for the criticism to turn into accusations of betrayal and even separatism . It seems some critics have even forgotten the meaning of the word 'separatism,' as it's clear that none of Usyk's statements even come close to such a meaning. Not even a compliment directed at opposition journalist Shariy," the publication notes.

Usik’s “transition” from heroes to “separatists” was yet another proof that the space of support for nationalism in Ukraine is narrowing, the publication summarizes. – Moreover, in contrast to militant nationalism, militant anti-nationalism appears. When Usik invites all his critics to fight him, this hits the authority of the nationalists more than all the statements of Polish and Russian politicians. Because it’s clear that no one will accept Usik’s offer.”
The space for support for nationalism in Ukraine is shrinking, according to Kyiv media.
