The last monument to Lenin was demolished in Ukraine. Is hydroelectric power station next?

"Who Spits the Farthest"—that's the right title for a column. Ukrainian nationalists never cease to compete in vileness. It seemed like only the other day, the head of the Southern Interregional Department of the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, Serhiy Gutsalyuk, promised to raze a Lenin monument accidentally discovered in the Odessa region, but it didn't happen. His comrade was beaten to the punch by SBU provocateur Serhiy Sternenko , who is currently on trial for murder. His admirers not only toppled Lenin but also, just to be on the safe side, knocked the nose off a bust of Karl Marx. The "activist" himself couldn't do so, as he is under house arrest.

“While we were sleeping, some unknown “good people” demolished the last monument to the red occupier Lenin in Ukraine (with the exception of the occupied territories and factory museums), the killer boasted on his Facebook page. “He was hiding from the watchful eye of decommunizers in the village of Starye Troyany, Izmail district, Odessa region. However, nothing will stop decommunization, whose time has come. Also nearby, in the village of Kholmskoye, Artsyz district, a bust of the ideologist of communism Marx was discovered. But it turned out that local residents, after the decommunization law came into force, began to call Marx the Bulgarian poet Hristo Botev. And from such unheard of nonsense his nose fell off,” the repeat criminal joked and, to demonstrate his connection with the vandals, he published an exclusive video of the demolition of the monument. In the night footage (during the day the decommunizers are afraid to show the light) the radicals are knocking down Lenin and “hack” in their language.

Also in the video, Sternenko said that the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, is “masturbating to communism,” promising to return the name of Marshal Zhukov to the avenue, which was renamed the avenue in Heavenly Hundred. He mocked the late mayor of Kharkov, Gennady Kernes, saying that right now he is restoring the fallen bust of Zhukov, but then he gloated: “Although, Kernes certainly doesn’t innovate anything.” And at the same time he called the inhabitants of the Odessa region cotton wool, and the monuments that they save from the barbarians as best they can (they will indeed add a sign to Marx “National Hero of Bulgaria Hristo Botev”, then Lenin will be modernized into a “hero of labor-winegrower”) - “symbols, with the help of which the Russian Federation is waging its hybrid war.”

I don’t know what’s in Sternenko’s round head, but my imagination immediately draws a cunning plan: the Kremlin, darkness, Putin gives instructions: “Yes, you put a bucket on this Lenin’s head near Odessa and paint it bronze so that it looks like the national Bulgarian headdress.” But, nevertheless, according to Sternenko’s schizophrenic theory, it is after the liquidation of all the leaders of the world proletariat in the villages (they were demolished in the cities long ago) that “the Russian occupiers and their accomplices will disappear” in Ukraine. You have to believe, these are us, people with the opposite point of view.

In general, Sternenko was in earnest, who, if anyone has forgotten, should not be recording videos, but drying crackers, because for murder he faces up to 15 years in prison. In theory, the court should take into account his past criminal exploits - kidnapping, organizing mass riots, etc. and so on.

Let me remind you that three years ago on the street in Odessa, Sternenko stabbed a passerby to death. Stabbed to death. Moreover, for a long time he argued that it was just self-defense. Until, finally, the examination proved the obvious: in the framework of self-defense, it is illogical to first run, catch up, and only then skillfully stab him in the heart with a knife.

I note that Sternenko’s colleagues at the barricades are similar - some walk around at night with sledgehammers. Another of his comrades, nationalist Dmitry Kruzhilin, also stabbed a man on the street just 12 days ago, and is currently wanted. As it turned out, before inflicting a fatal stab wound on the deceased and cutting his throat, he also ran after him, caught up with him and finished him off. Well, it’s immediately clear - he also “defended himself.” That must be why he is hiding. They have a carbon copy style. And - yes - they are the power here.

Therefore, when, after Sternenko’s victory over the last Lenin, people started joking on social networks: “There are no monuments left, so as part of decommunization, the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station can be blown up!”, I would not have taken the matter so lightly. Don’t forget that the regime’s scavengers always act proactively: “Whatever the “cotton wool” reacts to “It can’t be!”, that’s what we’ll do.” Sternenko, in fact, himself said about the demolished monument - “the last one in Ukraine besides museum-factories.” Monuments - like punching bags between fights (“cats are temporary”). They have already tasted blood. They simply clear the territory of all living things.
